About Teletherapy & Telepsychiatry
*** Please Note: Effective March 2020, many insurance carriers that don't typically cover telehealth are doing so on an emergency basis in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.***
Teletherapy and Telepsychiatry are revolutionizing access to mental health treatment by removing common barriers to treatment, like access to specialized mental health professionals in rural communities.
Telemedicine is most successful when used in conjunction with routine in-person treatment or when access to treatment is not readily available in your community.

How it Works for Teletherapy:
- Call the office to schedule your appointment, providing your email address or cell phone number.
- Your appointment information and directions will be sent to your email/phone by SecureVideo.com
- When your therapist is ready at your scheduled time, a video session will be initiated with you
- You must have a microphone and webcam, access to a well-lit and low noise area that provides privacy to you.
- After your appointment, call into the office to schedule your next appointment
How it Works for Telepsychiatry (Medication Management with a Psychiatrist) ON-SITE:
- Arrive to your appointment onsite and complete the necessary intake paperwork
- Video conference with your psychiatrist in our state of the art Telemedicine room
- Your Psychiatrist will electronically prescribe and/or consult with your primary care team for any medications needed (controlled substance medications must be processed by primary care due to state and federal regulations on telehealth programs at present)
